Patrick is an advisory director and chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) International. Before joining GSAM, Patrick was a senior director of Goldman Sachs, prior to which he served as deputy chairman of Goldman Sachs International. Formerly, he was the co-chief executive officer of Goldman Sachs
International and a member of the firm’s global Management Committee, having
previously co-headed the Equities Division globally and headed the Equities Division in Tokyo from 1988 to 1993. After joining the firm in 1980, he served in the Equities Division in Chicago for eight years, becoming a partner in 1990 and a managing director in 1996.

Pat is a member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs and of the New York
Society of Certified Public Accountants and a registered Chartered Accountant of South Africa.

Pat earned a Masters in Management from Northwestern University in 1980 and
an MBA from the University of Witwatersrand in 1977.
